"You are the embodiment of the information you choose to accept and act upon. To change your circumstances you need to change your thinking and subsequent actions.” - Adlin Sinclair

Invictus by William Ernest Henley
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

If— BY RUDYARD KIPLING
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Money, Intelligence and Power will pass away!
"No amount of Money, nor Intelligence or Power can escape death..." Steve Jobs said, "Death is the destination we all share, no one has ever escaped it." So, then why do you spend all your time thinking about money, praising your own intelligence and manipulating all others to feel powerful ?? With inflation or stock market crash all your Money will go away, with Alzheimers your intelligence and memory will be gone, the people who used to respect your power and influence will change and respect even more powerful than you...then what are you left with? The important fact of life is that God is the one who gives money, gives us intelligence and power. Lord, please forgive us if I or we forget this important fact that we need live our life for God. Spend more time pleasing God and sharing your wealth, Praise God for giving you intelligence and ask God to give creative ideas how you can uplift and help others, acknowledge the power of God which is nothing compared to any other power on earth. Yes! we all will die one day. As Polish proverb says, “When it’s your time, you have to go". Death is Not destination but, a door to heaven. Jesus is waiting for you all at that door ready to hug and welcome you to heaven. Now will you put your trust in Jesus or your money, intelligence and power? May we give our life to Jesus alone every day, every minute till our Lord calls us home.

Praying for Earthquake victims!
To all my friends in Manipur and other northeastern states of India who experienced tremors and earthquakes and also to past earthquake victims in Nepal, Japan, Peru, Papua New Guinea, Afganistan, Indonesia, Chile, Solomon Islands, Haiti, Pakistan I offer Deep condolences to the people who have lost their lives, property, family and friends in the recent earthquake in Manipur. At this moment words would be superfluous. I encourage you to be strong. We uphold you all in our prayers. To those who are thinking 'Why Did God Allow This?'. Let me tell you that, God's intention is never to kill or destroy us. In fact, God is “not willing that any should perish” (II Pet. 3:9) and God's purpose is to “have all men to be saved” (I Tim. 2:4). In this difficult situation let me encourage that God loves us all. Isaiah 54:10- "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you." Amen! Even in the midst of rubbles of destruction and panic, we still want to cry out for help because your love is unfailing. We request you, God to please comfort us.

Tears in the Rain!
The science behind the ‘rain’ is that it falls because the sky can no longer handle its heaviness. The science behind the ‘tears’ is because they fall when your heart can no longer handle the pain. The same God who sends down the rain also calms us by giving a rainbow. “Tears are words the mouth can't say nor can the heart bare.” - Joshua Wisenbaker. Whether it is your sickness, pain, suffering, heartaches, pink slips, loans, breakup’s, divorce, homelessness, poverty and war. Whatever the reason behind your tears, God knows it all. God says, “I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you”. (2 Kings 20:5). God not only sees your tears, “He will wipe every tear from (your) their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Trust in promise keeping God who always want to help you, comfort you, heal you and deliver you.

Pit to Pinnacle!
"God, though you have made me see my troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more." - Psalm 71:21. Amen! Here Psalmist is praying and acknowledging that only God has power to bring the deliverance and victory. In the life of Joseph it so true that God delivered him from a pit, potiphar's wife, prison and finally God made him the Prime Minister of the powerful nation. In the same way, God will surely deliver you and increase your honor and comfort you. If you agree just say "I believe in you Jesus that you will raise me up to more than I can be". Have a great year.
